AI

This page describes how I use artificial intelligence on this site and in my work.

Content authorship

All articles, blog posts, and opinions on this site are written by me, Simon Pamies. The ideas, positions, and arguments are my own, shaped by experience shipping production systems in cloud architecture, AI/ML, and enterprise software.

How I use AI tools

I use AI tools as part of my workflow. Specifically:

  • Writing assistance: I may use LLMs to help with grammar, phrasing, and structure. The substance and direction of every piece is mine.
  • Code: I use AI-assisted coding tools for development tasks like refactoring, boilerplate, and exploration. All code is reviewed and understood before it ships.
  • Research: I use AI tools to search, summarize, and cross-reference sources. I verify claims before publishing.

What I don't do

  • I don't publish AI-generated content without substantial human review and editing.
  • I don't use AI to fabricate quotes, data, or sources.
  • I don't use AI to generate opinions I don't hold.

My position

AI is a tool. Like any tool, its value depends on how it's used. I believe in transparency about AI usage, human oversight at every decision point, and the principle that the person publishing carries responsibility for what they publish — regardless of which tools helped produce it.
